Variety of stalls - from classic to creative

A colorful mixture of tradition and innovation awaits you at the Christmas market in the Ehrenhof.
Around ten stands will be set up by committed KIT employees and students - and show just how diverse KIT is.

In addition to classic Christmas market items such as handmade decorations, woolly hats, candles and soaps, there are also modern and surprising creations: for example, works of art from the 3D printer or objects designed with artificial intelligence (AI).

The exhibitors bring with them a wide range of experience. Some are already experienced in market sales, while others use the Christmas market as an opportunity to present their products to a larger audience for the first time.

Christmas stalls

Pia's Soaps | Pia Lang

Pure nature: cold-stirred soaps based on olive oil and other vegetable oils. Special notes: Lemongrass-rosemary or very Christmassy: cinnamon-lemon. Also: wooden and ceramic soap dishes.

Pia Nees

Mix and match antique porcelain etageres yourself! Plus: crocheted bead necklaces made from fine yarn.

WollWerk

Intergenerational social project by KIT students. Wool hats, scarves, cuffs and headbands hand-knitted for a good cause.

Tina Kunz-Plapp

Instead of wrapping presents in paper, you could also use a pretty reusable bag - thought - sewn! You can also find home-knitted accessories here.

DifferentCandlesByD | Dana Welsch

Candles in different colors, sizes and shapes - for a cozy atmosphere during the dark season.

Patricia Nestl

Decorative rings with fairy lights for the festive table, the windowsill or as door decorations. All handmade - and the KIT Christmas market is her premiere!

AI artwork | Alessa Daumann

What role does artificial intelligence play in gift-giving today? Find out at this interactive Christmas station. As a reward for participating in the study, you will receive a snow globe with the AI artwork included.

distinct. | Fabian Rybinski

Vases, lamps and Christmas decorations from the 3D printer. What began as a hobby became a mini-production for the local flower store and 's Fachl in Karlsruhe. The premiere for a larger audience is now the KIT Christmas market!

Susanne Schneider

Drawers, boxes, vases and even necklaces: paper is a versatile material with surprising properties. The traditional craft of bookbinding is reinterpreted here.

phinabeads | Lena Kölmel and Josephine Hanebeck

Bracelets, beaded necklaces and earrings in a wide variety - whether colorful or flowery - the office colleagues are creative together in their free time. They even accept orders for custom-made items.

Lora Barumova-Paluch

The little baskets made of cane or the fabric bags, which are being offered here for the first time at the KIT Christmas market, are particularly suitable for small gifts. And the self-designed cards are waiting to be sent as greetings all over the world.

Beekeeper Ruth Stephan

The honey from this hobby apiary is a rarity - because it is not centrifuged, but squeezed together with the honeycombs. The higher proportion of suspended matter suggests that the taste is also something special. Plus: honey spoon and Christmas packaging.

Ethereal Freames Realm | Felix Dörre

Digital prints that appear three-dimensional - inspired by a mathematics lecture - can be found here, as well as scarves and cuffs whose patterns have been improved by simulation.

Krumbeck soap boilers | Verena Dohmwirth

Soaps inspired by the wild nature of the Feldberg lake district - now available for the first time in the Karlsruhe area at the KIT Christmas market. The herbs used were collected in the soap maker's garden and other ingredients come from regional and organic sources.

Sigis Holzstübli | Siegbert Johnsen

Sculptures, bowls or mugs - turned, wrought or polished: At Holzstübli, beautiful objects from nature are given the "finishing touches" and become useful everyday companions.

Soul stones | Alexandra Böhm

Bracelets and jewelry made from semi-precious stones: Inspired by the tradition of Hildegard von Bingen, the stones used are said to have positive properties and a healing or calming effect.

China Cloudy Pottery | Claudia Pang

Small ceramic bowls with floral patterns for everyday use. Candlesticks and holders for incense sticks - potted, glazed and fired in-house - round off the range.

KIT merchandising

Whether it's a T-shirt, mug or the iconic 200-year bag - you'll find the right gift for all KIT fans here.

UNICEF cards | Josephine Grau

Send a real card or letter instead of a WhatsApp message - and support a good cause at the same time: the popular UNICEF cards connect and help people.
