Be part of the Dîner au KIT!
It's KIT's birthday and that's something to celebrate!
As part of an open-air picnic on July 4 from 6:30 pm, we will toast the past and coming 200 years together at a mile-long table and be entertained by a varied supporting program. Finally, the Karlsruhe night sky will be illuminated by a light show by DroneDreams for the KIT.
We would be delighted if you, your colleagues, fellow students, the whole department, the institute or student council, university group or study group would register for an unforgettable evening and celebrate the KIT birthday.
As soon as you are registered, we will gradually send you further organizational details.

Event Info
Is the event free of charge?
Yes!
What happens in case of bad weather?
The event will only be canceled if there is a risk of thunderstorms or similar. In case of light rain, you are welcome to bring umbrellas, small pagodas and rainwear.
How will I be informed if the event is canceled?
We will cancel the event at least 24 hours in advance, both on the homepage and via app and email, if severe thunderstorms are forecast.
Food and drink
Are there plates and glasses?
Please bring your own drinking vessels, plates and cutlery.
Do I have to bring all my own food and drink?
No, there will be various food and drink stands on site where you can also buy something.
Can I refrigerate food and drinks?
Unfortunately, we cannot provide refrigerators.
Route and furniture
Where does the route run?
The route is spread over the entire South Campus. The route map will be published in week 12.
Do I need to bring tables, beer benches or seating?
No, we will provide the furniture. All you need to bring is food and a good mood.
Is there electricity at the tables?
No.
Can I bring decorations?
You are welcome to bring flowers, tablecloths or small LED lights, but please do not bring candles or other open fires.
Where are the toilets?
We will open individual institutes along the route and provide porta-potties if necessary.

How do I register for the event?
Register yourself and your group directly using the form.
Can I also register individually?
Yes, we assign individuals to tables where there is still space available.
Where can I register additional people?

Who can register?
We are happy to welcome students, alumni/alumnae and employees of KIT.
Can I register friends or family who do not work at KIT?
Please understand that we will first distribute tables to employees, students and alumni. If there is still room, we will release additional tables and inform you via the event app. Of course, all friends and family are welcome to watch the light show by Dronedreams on the grounds of Campus South.
How can I cancel a table?
