It's KIT's birthday and that's something to celebrate!
At our open-air picnic starting at 6:30 p.m., we will toast the past and coming 200 years together and be entertained by a varied supporting program. So pack your picnic basket, grab your colleagues or fellow students and enjoy the evening together. There will also be a selection of food and drinks available on site. Finally, the Karlsruhe night sky will light up with the show "KIT Skylights - A Celebration of Innovation!" .

Event Info
Is the event free of charge?
Yes!
What happens in case of bad weather?
The event will only be canceled if there is a risk of thunderstorms or similar. If it rains lightly, you are welcome to bring umbrellas and rainwear.
How will I be informed if the event is canceled?
We will cancel the event at least 24 hours in advance, both on the homepage and via app and email, if severe thunderstorms are forecast. If we are forced to cancel spontaneously, we will inform you via the app.
Registration is closed, can I still register?
You are welcome to register your interest by emailing event ∂does-not-exist.kit edu, if places become available we can still consider the requests.
How can I cancel a table?
Please send an email to event ∂does-not-exist.kit edu.
Food and drink
Are there plates and glasses?
Please bring your own drinking vessels, plates and cutlery.
Do I have to bring all my own food and drink?
You are welcome to bring your own colorful menu. If you can't make it in time or run out of something, there will be various food and drink stands on site where you can also buy something. The bar closes at 11 pm.
Can I chill food and drinks?
Unfortunately, we cannot provide refrigerators. You can purchase chilled soft drinks and summer drinks.
Can I bring my own barbecue?
No, for fire safety reasons we have to ask you to refrain from barbecuing together. You are welcome to bring other food.
Route and furniture
Where does the route run?
You can find the exact route in the "Orientation on campus" tab.
Do I need to bring tables, beer benches or seating?
No, we will provide the furniture. All you need to bring is food and a good mood.
Is there electricity at the tables?
No.
Can I bring decorations?
You are welcome to bring flowers, tablecloths or small LED lights, but open fires are not permitted.
Where are the toilets?
Restrooms are located in the Presidium building (11.30), at Otto-Amann Platz (10.81) and at the AKK.
Placement
Can I choose a seat?
Please understand that we will allocate the seats and inform you where your group is sitting.
When will I find out where I am sitting?
We will let you know by e-mail from June 23.
How do I find my table number on site?
The table numbers can be found on the site plan or can be requested in the information tents.
